LA QUERCIA TREBBIANO D’ABRUZZO DOC 2015
Winemaker Antonio Lamona employs low yield winemaking techniques by meticulously cutting back the vines. The result is a well-balanced, expressive Trebbiano showing fresh notes of citrus, cut grass, stones and a slightly tangy finish.

Production Notes: The grapes are harvested manually and crushed within the following two hours. After destemming and crushing, the must is placed in a steel tank with double cooling jacket for the cold clarification. The must is fermented at a low controlled temperature and then allowed to rest for about two months after cold stabilization, filtered and bottled following sterile microfiltration.

About Trebbiano d’Abruzzo: The region is one of Italy’s most mountainous with more than 65% of all Abruzzo being considered mountainous terrain with the Apennines peaks reaching up to 9000 feet above sea level. The hillside vineyards planted on calcareous clay benefit from warm and significant sun exposure that is ventilated by dry breezes coming off the Adriatic. Trebbiano d’Abruzzo wines are golden in color, typically dry but fruit-forward, with a delicate bouquet and refreshing, crisp acidity.
About Vini La Quercia: Established by four friends and colleagues in 2000, they came together to breathe new life into the small winery La Quercia, where they had met and consulted in years prior.
A small property encompassing only 12 hectares of vineyards and 3 hectares of olive tree groves, the farm also features 400 square meters of oenological plants, with a capacity to produce around 4000 hl of wine. Vini la Quercia focuses on the respect nature and environment in order to attain good and healthy products. They produce sustainably and organically.
